High-temperature & specialty,
PI, composite and laser marking
T8 polyimide, T9 composite and Z-series laser-marking materials: 320 °C reflow, equipment plates, frangible tamper evidence and asset traceability.
When ordinary PET is not enough
Reflow, engine bays and long outdoor exposure need PI, composite or laser-marking materials.
PI polyimide withstands over 300 °C short-term and survives reflow without distortion.
Z-series labels are laser marked directly, with no ribbon, for nameplates and tamper evidence.

Codes come from the BRD material library; refer to the TDS for detailed data.
Three material families, three answers
Choose by process and service condition rather than pushing standard PET.
PI for heat
Reflow, engines and high-temperature processes with stable dimensions.
Laser marking
No ribbon; the marked layer is durable for nameplates and traceability.
Composite and frangible
Composite adds stiffness and tamper evidence; frangible grades leave evidence of removal.
Questions
Can PI survive reflow?
Yes; confirm peak temperature and duration in the model TDS.
What equipment does laser marking need?
A standard fibre laser marker; parameters depend on material and sample testing.
Not sure which material to use?
Tell us the substrate, service temperature, print method and service life, and a materials engineer will propose a combination, with samples and print validation.
